Respect Life Ministry
The Respect Life Ministry is a multi-faceted ministry administered and directed from the USCCB’s ‘Committee on Pro-Life Activities’ through each diocesan Respect Life Office/Director and then to each individual parish Respect Life Rep. It includes any issue that affects the dignity of life from conception to natural death:
· Abortion
· Physician Assisted Suicide/Euthanasia
· Bio-Ethics
· Death Penalty
· End of Life
· Sex Trafficking
The program includes:
I- Public Info. & Education
II- Pastoral Care for Women – Both supporting the PCC and Rachel’s Vineyard for post abortive women and men
III- Public Policy and Legislation
IV- Prayer and Worship
The Respect Life rep. at St. A’s is Peg Norton and Fr. George appointed her in June, 2009. The meetings are held on the 2nd Tues. of each month at 9:15am in the SE classroom of the Parish Center. All are invited and encouraged to join this vital ministry as it affects us all. Currently there are around 10 members.
We are currently doing our Spiritual Adoption program and will be ending it with a big ‘birth’day celebration in the Parish Center on Sunday Sept. 9, 2012.

Bishops of Florida Strongly Support Amendment 6 to Protect Taxpayers and Support Parental Rights
Prohibits Public Funds for Abortion
Amendment 6 prohibits the use of public funds for abortions or health care coverage that would include abortions.
Strengthens Parental Rights
Amendment 6 would strengthen parental rights by allowing future legislation to require parental consent for children seeking an abortion.
Aligns Abortion Funding Laws
