23rd Sunday of Ordinary Time
Presider:
We come into the Lord’s presence with thanksgiving and turn with confidence to the Father now with our prayers,
Leader:
Our response is: Lord hear our prayer.
That Pope Benedict, all bishops, priest, deacons and sisters may continue to inspire the faithful to bear their crosses each day with patience and fidelity to the Gospel.
We pray to the Lord.
As we celebrate Labor Day, that our Lord will prosper the work of those who labor and that He will show compassion to the unemployed and underemployed.
We pray to the Lord.
That we would receive the grace of physical protection from all storms, disaster and calamity this hurricane season,
We Pray to the Lord.
For parents whose pregnant daughters are considering abortion: That they will help their daughter understand the priceless gift she is caring and choose life, through parenting and adoption.
We pray to the Lord.
In thanksgiving for the Lord blessing us with 100 years of St. Anastasia Parish as a Catholic faith community.
We Pray to the Lord.
For the protection of our men and women serving in the military, especially those serving in harms way in Afghanistan and Iraq:
We pray to the Lord.
Presider:
Lord, in your providence, You know all our needs, yet You want us to worship You. As the one in whom those needs are met, hear our prayers and give us joy and peace in Your presence. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen
